Weber Kettle BBQs

The kettle grill is where it all started with Weber - George Stephen Sr. thought up the idea of a covered barbecue whilst working at Weber Brothers Metal Works in Chicago, Illinois making marine buoys. He cut a buoy in half, made some adjustments, and the Original Kettle was born.

By advocating covering food whilst grilling it, George Stephen started a cooking revolution - the cover allowed for greater control over the airflow and temperature, whilst reducing the possibility of flareups which cause the dreaded 'burnt outside, raw inside' barbecue mistakes.

Because the kettles were made from marine buoys, they were extremely durable and lasted for much longer than their inferior quality rivals. Today, although the range has expanded and been developed considerably, the focus on durability and cooking excellence still persists in all the kettles produced by Weber.

• The Original Kettle 57cm is the continuation of the first and most revolutionary barbecue George Stephen Sr. made. Extra features have been added, for example the lid mounted thermometer and the One-Touch cleaning system for easy ash disposal, but the Weber quality still shines through, backed up by a 10 year limited warranty. Also in the Original range is the Original Kettle Premium, adding an enclosed ash catcher to allow you to remove the ashes cleanly and dispose of them with the minimum of fuss.

• The Master Touch series expands on a classic. Incorporating improved designs like the tuck away lid holder, improved all-weather vents for controlled cooking and an iGrill ready bracket, the Master Touch is a truly versatile charcoal grill for both low and slow cooking and high-heat searing.
