When it comes to BBQ grills, Weber is the pinnacle of backyard BBQs, not just in the US, but globally. We decided to conduct an experiment to find out which Weber was best for an all-nighter i.e. stick your brisket on and get to bed for some sleep, safe in the knowledge that your brisket will be in good hands while you are catching some beauty sleep!
We tested four different Weber BBQs - the Weber Summit Kamado, Weber Master-Touch 5775, Weber SmokeFire EPX4, and Weber Smokey Mountain 57cm - to see which performed the best for low n slow cooking. We monitored the temperature and consistency of each grill and compared the results.
The clear winner of our experiment was the Weber SmokeFire EPX4. This grill maintained a consistent temperature of 225F for 15 hours without any interference, making it perfect for low n slow cooking. It was also able to reach the desired temperature faster than any of the other Weber models we tested. However, just because the SmokeFire performed the best for low n slow cooking, it may not be the best option for everyone. If you're looking for a grill that can handle a variety of cooking methods, including high heat grilling, then the SmokeFire may not be the best choice for you.
If you're in the market for a versatile grill that can handle low n slow cooking as well as high heat grilling and roasting, then the Weber Summit Kamado is an excellent choice. It performed well in our experiment and can be further enhanced with the addition of tech such as a Billows and Signals.
For those on a budget, the Weber Master-Touch 5775 is a great option. It can handle low n slow cooking and high heat grilling, making it a versatile choice for any backyard BBQ enthusiast. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the Summit Kamado, but it is a reliable and affordable option.
Lastly, the Weber Smokey Mountain 57cm is a great option for purists who want a dedicated smoker. While it may not be able to handle high heat grilling, it excels at low n slow cooking and produces excellent smoky flavor. However, if you can only choose one grill, the Smokey Mountain may not be the most versatile option.
In conclusion, there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to choosing the best Weber BBQ for low n slow cooking. It all depends on your own needs.
We hope that our experiment has helped you make a more informed decision when it comes to choosing your next grill.
