This week for #aroundtheworldin80bbqs we're cooking Buffalo cauliflower which is very famous as a meatless alternative to Buffalo chicken wings, grilled over charcoal on our Weber GBS Master-Touch BBQ.

Buffalo Cauliflower is famous in the United States and It's a common appetizer or snack in vegetarian and vegan restaurants, and it's also found in mainstream restaurants and pubs looking to offer more vegetarian options.

Typically, cauliflower florets are coated in a spicy Buffalo sauce and baked or fried until crispy.

In this blog post, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of preparing these delectable Buffalo Cauliflower that are sure to impress your taste buds.

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Gather the following ingredients:
    • 550g cauliflower, broken into florets
    • 2 tablespoons of oil
    • Angus & Oink Pigasus Seasoning (to taste)
    • Impressive Rooster Sauce (to taste)

Step 2: Preheat the Grill for Indirect Cooking using Heat Controller 

  • Preheat your grill to 220°C (428°F).

Step 3: Coat the Cauliflower

  • Place the cauliflower florets in a large mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle 2 tablespoons of oil over the cauliflower.

Step 4: Season with Angus & Oink Pigasus Seasoning

  • Sprinkle Angus & Oink Pigasus Seasoning over the cauliflower. Adjust the amount to your taste.
  • Toss the cauliflower in the bowl to ensure the seasoning mixes well and evenly coats the florets.

Step 5: Indirect Cooking

  • Place the seasoned cauliflower on the grill for indirect cooking.
  • Roast it at 220°C for 20 minutes. You want the cauliflower to become tender and slightly crispy.

Step 6: Sauce the Cauliflower

  • After the initial 20 minutes, remove the cauliflower from the heat source and transfer it to a clean mixing bowl.

Step 7: Drizzle with Impressive Rooster Sauce

  • Drizzle the cauliflower with Impressive Rooster Sauce, adjusting the amount to your desired level of spiciness.
  • Toss the cauliflower to coat it with the sauce evenly.

 

Step 8: Return to Heat Source

  • Return the sauced cauliflower to the grill.

Step 9: Cook for an Additional 5 Minutes using Direct Cooking Method

  • Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes. Check for doneness using a skewer or fork. The cauliflower should be tender and well-glazed.

Step 10: Serve and Enjoy

  • Once the cauliflower is cooked to your satisfaction, it's ready to serve.
